Why when the tester gets to the end of the period, it just dumps everything? Is this a MT5 issue or am I missing something?

Look at the trades list.
You have martingale enabled and it just blows your account (stop out or StopLoss happens).
Also please try to find answers for such questions in the tester journal first.
