Publishing backtest results - Same Asset/Different Broker.

Hello,

I have signed up for demo accounts with a number of different brokers just to test out the EA. I am finding that when I try the .set file on the same pair of currencies with a different broker, you get radically different results. For example, with ETHUSD, I was lucky enough to come across a good set of parameters, only for someone else to test with another broker to get very different results.

Does anyone share the same findings?

Yes, even on EURUSD.

There is no single FX market. There are a lot of market places, ECNs, etc.

We have the same set running on different brokers and have different results. That's reality.

Hi,

So using metaquotes I got this optimisation graph for trying out different parameters in relation to take profit and stop loss for Gold vs USD

So with evolve markets, same asset

No profit at at all for the same set of parameters, on the same asset of gold. i think I will be more explicit about broker when publishing my set files from now on.

Wow! Even from EURUSD?!?!? that's mad as they come from the same exchange! I will try a little experiment with evolve markets and see what happens.

You're right.

Even on EURUSD results differs.

With crypto-currencies the difference will be more significant because of different quotes and trading conditions (spreads and commissions).
