please see above graph and attached set file for a EUR-USD NON MARTINGALE strategy set

it is based on using Bollinger Bands ,MA ,Mom, and other filters to find the best time to trade the range between the bands.

just to make it very clear this strategy has no martingale and you will not be able to go out and by that brand new lambo (just yet)

it will not make $1,000 turn into $1,000,000.00 in the blink of an eye,

but it will make slow and steady returns without the risk of it blowing up your account in one fowl swoop.

i love my martingale sets and they are doing extremely well for me! , but as Andrey has been so good to the community in modifying his code for us to complete some of the ideas we all have posted it would be great to see some of these ideas being developed into Non Martingale strategies.......

this is my first set based on BB but i have few more sets that will post soon.

in the next few weeks once Andrey can find the time to complete some finial bits of programing we should be able to get a few more Non martingale strategy complete.

The only thing I afraid of — you used whole history for optimization.

Have you checked results on 2017-2018?

hi Andrey,

yes i wish i knew then what i know now and stopped the optimization period short by 3-4 months so i could see how it would perform under the latest live conditions.....

it doesn't perform well in 2017-18 , but its hard to know if that's because its just a different market to then or not.....

i ran a number of our live sets in 2017-18 and they mostly dont perform well either....

so its going to be a hard one to confirm if its over fitting or not.

i will start to run live testing next week on a low lot size to confirm the strategy as i have found in the past that this is the only true way to see if it works...

the set optimization ran up to the 12/8/20 so i did a quick run to see how it would have performed in the last week

(i know this doesn't prove anything as the period of one week is far too small but its a small positive)

You can Just set the same settings manually in MT4 and it will be the same👍

Love the config! tested it under the 2020 year so far. Great durability in march when everything seems to kill set files I find, and steady profits. Excellent rate of winning trades in the short and long term. 70% is great! Also, the time, 6.34.34 is excellent. Hopefully means that you won't get killed for holding a position overnight.

The Identify Trent filter Time Frame, on MT5 you have it with 3 hours, on MT4, there is no 3 hours option. I set it to 4 hours.

Not sure if this is ok.

I found MT5 to be much better for testing , that’s why I moved over from MT4.
