How to choose a good VPS? What VPS providers do you work with?

CommunityPower EA is not a high frequency EA, so you can launch a terminal with the EA on your PC at home. But if you want to reach the best results (low slippages, fast execution), or just don’t want to take risk of electricity and/or internet connection loss, select VPS server and run terminal with EA 24/7 with 100% uptime and best possible ping to broker server.

List of recommended VPS providers you can find here -- https://communitypowerea.com/vps/

I had been using Exness Free VPS for about 6 months and in January, I've requested if I could have fast server in the region of 2-3ms rather than 200ms that I had last year.
It took me a while to set it up but I got one early Feb and quite happy with the speed.
It seemed to give me the speed regardless of the servers including the demo accounts.

Thanks for the update!

It is a good option, if you trade with Exness.

I just got Excess free VPS.
You can have max of 5 (MT4/5 mixtures that you can ask to specify) and it comes pre-loaded.
at the moment it tells me that 189.83ms
There's a lot of restrictions as far as I can see, but not too bad compared to the XMtrading etc.
My feedback, kind of positive, like 3.5 out of 5, may be?

200 ms ping? Why not to run the EA on your laptop from home?

I think 3-5 USD per month is applicable spending if you are not at your first month in trading ;)

I use. I have two MT5, each one has 1 chart/EA. The VPS cant afford more than that, but works well.

It should be good.

Always use free VPS from broker if you have enough deposit/do enough trade volume.

You can migrate to paid VPS at any moment.

Yes unfortunately the servers are only in France, but my ping is still very good on most brokers.

Only with https://www.vantagemarkets.com/ I have a ping between 80 and 100 (in demo version) which is quite bad.

Then I mainly use it to keep EAs running 7 days a week.

There is also https://cheapvps.co/ which I have never used but which allows you to choose the server location.

Or https://www.ovhcloud.com/fr/vps/os/vps-windows/ but the problem is often the price of windows and I've never tried on ubuntu for example (maybe my problem comes from there).

Be careful with the ping shown in the terminal, it shows the distance to the nearest access point (not to the main MT server of your broker). So, no matter what is the ping to the access point, your orders will be transmit through the ocean to NY (if you trade with IC Markets, for example).

Linux servers are cheaper, of course. And faster as well. And this is a good way to improve your accounting, but it will take some time to learn. I'm going to make a quick start guide for vultr.com. I use it myself for Binance trading and it is really good.

But for now you can start with hyonix.com. It is really cheap and reliable. And easy to use because of preinstalled Windows.

Cheers!
