Does anyone else think that a date setting section to omit trading within a give date reference ie: date/month to date/month may be useful?
Example: taking out a period of time for summer holidays or date prior to the end/start of the Tax year.
it can be done on a single string entry like 01/04:07:04, 10/06/30/06 to cover two date periods etc....
Would at least be useful in back testing.

Your idea is so special... Not sure if it should be build in into EA.
But you can always create custom symbol and remove some part of the history to test your idea )
PS: you can exclude NY holidays using "Last December / First January day to trade" parameters.

An alternative way to exclude the desired period is using news files:
For me it’s easier than creating a custom symbol
